Немного о фильме) He's here today to talk about A Film With Me In It, an Irish black comedy in which he stars alongside Dylan Moran and Amy Huberman. Even Jonathan Rhys Meyers makes an appearance. It was produced by Alan Moloney, of Intermission and Breakfast on Pluto, who is a personal friend of Allen's. The film looks set to be another shoestring Irish sensation. Early screenings at Edinburgh and Toronto film festivals went so well, Alan sent a triumphant text to Keith. "They are f****** eating it up. We've got a hit." Keith's quite pleased about that, mainly because he didn't really get paid for the thing, and took points instead. "There's never any money in it. It's always, 'we'll get you a lovely hotel'. Shut up Alan!" http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/film-cinema/why-keiths--hellraising-days-are-all-behind-him-1503292.html

Black comedies don’t come much darker than this little gem from Ireland. Audiences who loved last year’s Death At A Funeral will get lots of laughs from this very funny comedy about a couple of hapless wannabe film makers and their attempts to cope with a couple of accidental deaths in a small flat. Mark (Mark Doherty) is a struggling out of work actor desperately looking for a decent role in a film. He shares a poky basement flat with his girlfriend Sally (Amy Huberman), and his paralysed wheelchair bound brother David (David O’Doherty). However, the rent is three months overdue, and there are a number of repairs to be made. However, their landlord Jack (Kevin Allen) is reluctant to do any work until the rent is paid. And Mark’s slacker best friend Pierce (Irish comic Dylan Moran, from the tv series Black Books, etc) is trying to write a film script drawing upon their experiences. And then the first fatal accident occurs, and their situation gets markedly worse. As the unusual situation begins to get out of control, Pierce’s helpful suggestions actually exacerbate things. There is a fine art to black comedy, as filmmakers have to walk a fine line between tasteful and tasteless, but this is the type of comedy where the British excel. Director Ian FitzGibbon and writer Mark Doherty get the delicate balance right here, and they push the material about as far as it can go without overstepping the boundaries of good taste. There are plenty of laugh-out loud moments throughout, some nice sight gags, and a running joke that eventually pays off. The film is a little slow to get going as it spends a lot of time in the early scenes establishing the characters and setting the scene. But patience is rewarded once the hits its stride, as it delivers big laughs. The film combines elements of top British films like the wonderful Withnail And I, and Shallow Grave. FitzGibbon and Doherty follow one outrageous implausibility with another, but the whole thing ultimately works. To reveal too much about the film’s plot would spoil its surprises. The small but effective cast are attuned to the tone of the film, and their performances match the material. Doherty maintains a wonderfully deadpan style throughout and is quite fetching as the sad sack slacker hero. Moran brings charisma and charm to his unsympathetic and self-centred character. There are brief but telling from film director Neil Jordan and Jonathan Rhys Meyers that add to the film’s idiosyncratic and offbeat flavour. A Film With Me In It is an unexpected delight and a film not to be missed! http://filmreviews.net.au/?p=1016

A Film with Me in It
This well received Irish black comedy tells the tale of an unsuccessful actor (Mark Doherty) who, through no fault of his own, ends up with a dead dog, a dead brother, a dead girlfriend and a dead landlord in his apartment. Together with his alcoholic friend Pierce (Black Books' Dylan Moran), they hatch a genius plan to re-write the day's events as if it were a film. As the body count mounts, they pitch ideas back and forth, desperately searching for a way out.

Poor Mark. Not only is he a starving actor who can't seem to get cast in anything, but he lives with his paraplegic brother and a nagging girlfriend in a flat that's falling apart. Literally. One fateful day a series of ever more absurd accidents inside the crumbling flat start killing off people right and left. Mark's best friend Pierce, a frequently besotted gambler who fancies himself a screenwriter, only escalates things with his hilariously inept attempts to manage the situation. This Irish comedy is slight but tightly wound, and features two wonderful performances. Mark Doherty comes off as a sadsack Michael Richards as the luckless actor, and Dylan Moran's Pierce is a perfect loveable loser who has some of the movie's best lines ("Don't go vegetarian on me now!") Pierce keeps comparing his unwritten screenplay to Fargo; while this doesn't measure up to that classic, if you're a fan of the Coen Brothers' dark gallows humor then A Film with Me in It is worth checking out. Funny cameos by Neil Jordan and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are nice bonuses.
2010_3_4bluebeard.jpg Bluebeard Catherine Breillat has created scads of aggressively provocative movies, so watching one as straightforward as Bluebeard has the effect of a refreshing shock. It's a faithful adaptation of the famous fairy tale, about a fearsome baron and the unfortunate curiosity of his newest wife about what happened to her predecessors. The story is an ideal skeleton for Breillat's observations concerning female sexuality. She does include a few well-chosen moments of gore to spice things up, but for the most part she seems content to forgo embellishment; indeed, the movie clocks in at a fleet 80 minutes. Ravishingly beautiful locations lend a real sense of time and place to the action. And although a framing structure involving two girls reading the story out loud doesn't quite gel with the fairy tale itself, on the whole this is a solid version of an oft-told story.
